The latest round in the tug-of-war over Lansing's Groesbeck golf course goes to the mayor.

Today Virg Bernero vetoed the city council's decision to keep Groesbeck under the control of the parks and recreation department.

The mayor wants the Lansing Entertainment and Public Facilities Authority to run it with an eye towards making the course self-sufficient.

Council members say there are too many unanswered questions about the proposal.

We'll let you know if they get the six votes they need to override the veto.
