A monster of a discovery has been made right here in Michigan.

Researchers have recovered what they say is the most complete ice age Mastadon skeleton unearthed in Michigan since the 1940s.

A University of Michigan team led the dig and discovered about 70-percent of the fossil is still intact.

Further testing will be done to narrow its age estimate and even the season in which it died.
