Mason voters reject school bond proposal

Posted

Mason voters okay renewing their previous sinking fund for the schools, but turned down a $79 million bond proposal.

The district wanted to use that money to build a new school for just 4th and 5th graders to ease overcrowding.

Superintendent Ron Dzrewicki told FOX 47 News in a statement, "the district will continue to be fiscally responsible in maintaining our facilities. Moving forward we will gather more community input regarding our future needs."
