Investigators say alcohol appears to be a factor in an accident that killed a Mason teenager in Lenawee County on Monday morning.
Authorities were called to Brooklyn Highway, north of US 12 at 4:19 a.m for a report of pedestrians who were hit by car. The 19 year old Mason woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A male was also struck and was flown by helicopter to a hospital in critical condition.
The Lenawee County Sheriff's Office says a 17 year old male from Adrian was behind the wheel of the car. Investigators are still trying to determine whether the victims were in the roadway, or if the vehicle crossed the fog line.
