Threat closes Marshall Public Schools

Marshall Public Schools in Calhoun County are closed today district wide. Two Marshall High School students are in custody following a threat.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Department says a parent found photos of two subjects with firearms, making threats to the high school and its students.

As a precaution, the district is closed today, this includes the Shamrock Center.

The district posted early this morning on it's Marshall Public Schools Board of Education page that two students were in custody and that all schools will be closed today.

With the help of school staff, the students were identified and taken into custody at their residences.

Charges are pending for making a terrorist threat and using internet or telecommunication to commit a crime.
