The Marshall Police Department wants to warn you about a phone scam they've been getting several reports about lately.
In it, scammers call claiming that a relative is in need of help and asks for money.
If you get a call like this, do not give out any information. Police say you should ask for a contact number for the caller, hang up, then call the relative in question and make sure things are legit.
