The Gillespie Group announced on Wednesday that a new development would be coming to downtown Lansing.
At a press conference in the Stadium District, officials announced that a new urban market and a hotel would be developed there.
They said it would be a Meijer. During the announcement, officials called it Capital City Market, and described it as an "urban market."

They say this is a "game-changer that will cultivate forward movement for the city."
They say that this will "engage transformation of the City of Lansing and create space for new opportunities at the city's core."
Lansing Mayor Andy Schor was also in attendance.
