A Jackson man is in the hospital this morning after he is shot multiple times while sitting in his car.
The shooting happened late Thursday night on Gilbert Street. Jackson police say the 22-year old man had just left a house and was sitting in his car, when another vehicle drove up and someone fired into the man's car hitting him several times.
A family member drove the victim to the hospital where he was rushed into surgery. Police say he is expected to survive.
