A man and woman are scheduled to formally charged in New York in connection to the death of a jazz musician, who grew up in Lansing.
Court records show Sterling Aguilar, 28, and Lisa Harris, 41, both of New York, are charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in the death of Lawrence "Lo" Leathers.
The Grammy Award-winning jazz drummer's body was found Sunday, June 3 outside a Bronx apartment he shared with Harris.
Leathers was a graduate of Sexton High School. He attended classes at Michigan State University's School of Music before moving to New York.
Court records show Aguilar and Harris are scheduled to appear Friday in Bronx Criminal Court.
