A Southfield man is behind bars accused in the robbery of a Speedway gas station in Webberville Wednesday night.
The Ingham County Sheriff's Office says the robbery happened at the Speedway located at 2765 Eaton Rapids Road at 9:37 p.m.
Authorities say a man walked into the gas station, claimed he had a gun and demanded cash. A weapon was never seen. The suspect grabbed the cash box and left in a semi-truck hauling a trailer.
The truck was located on Interstate 96 near Dietz Road. The 50-year old driver was arrested and the cash box recovered. No weapon was found.
