UPDATE (1pm Tuesday):
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office tells us George Thomas Smith has been found alive. The 73-year-old was located around 9:30 a.m. in a swampy, wooded area about 1-2 miles from the adult care home he walked away from on Sunday.
Undersheriff Chris Kuhl tells us Smith was conscious and talking to rescuers when they found him and has been taken to the hospital. Kuhl couldn't comment on his condition, but did say he was wet and had been exposed to the cold weather at night.
The Jackson County Sheriff's office is looking for George Thomas Smith, a 73 year old man.
Smith is 5'9'', 160 lbs, has white hair and a white beard. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, black jeans, brown boots, and a blue and tan hat.
Smith walked away from an adult care home in the area of Wolf Lake Road near Mack Island Road in Grass Lake Township on Sunday August 6, 2017 at 6:30 p.m.
Call 911 if you see him. Deputies will be searching for him Monday afternoon.
