A Jackson man will make another attempt at starting a recall effort against Jackson County Sheriff Steve Rand.
On Wednesday, the State Board of Canvassers will review a second recall petition submitted by Dean Schuette. His first petition was denied by the state earlier this month, because it wasn't specific enough.
Schuette's son, Tommy, released video recordings of Sheriff Rand making sexist and racist comments about women and minorities as part of a lawsuit he filed against Rand.
Rand admitted to making the comments and apologized, but he has refused to step down.
