A Jackson man will stand trial in the shooting death of another man last month.
Court records show a judge ruled there's enough evidence to send 19-year-old Jerred Ballard to trial on open murder and felony firearms charges in the death of 18-year-old Zachary Frey.
Jackson police officers discovered Frey inside a car at Buddy's Minimart in Jackson on Nov. 6, 2018. He was rushed to the hospital where he died later that day.
Ballard faces up to life in prison if convicted. A trial date has not been scheduled at this time.
