HILLSDALE, Mich. — Troopers from the Michigan State Police Jackson Post are investigating a felonious assault.
They say a 47-year-old man from Jerome, assaulted his adult son earlier in the evening before the son went to work.
When the son returned home with some friends from work, the man pointed a shotgun at the three co-workers and threatened them.
They left the home and called 911.
Once troopers arrived they convinced the suspect to exit the home without incident and he was taken into custody.
This happened on Chicago Road in Somerset Township on August 8.
The suspect is currently at the Hillsdale County Jail on a felonious assault charge.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by deputies from the Hillsdale County Sheriff's Department.
