The Jackson Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead in a parking lot that's shared by several businesses.
Officers were dispatched to the parking lot in the 600 block of North West Avenue around 12:15 a.m. Thursday for reports of a shooting.
The Jackson Police Department tells Fox 47 a man was found in the parking lot behind Simple Flooring Solutions.
The parking lot is shared with Robin's Roost, Roxy Cafe, and Wild Bill's Tobacco.
The man had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene, Jackson police said.
The victim's name will not be released until his next of kin can be notified.
The shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made at this time.
