A Jackson County man will spend at least eight years behind bars for shooting another man in the leg.
Thursday, Ladarrius Woods was sentenced to 8 to 20 years in prison for the September 2016 shooting.
A jury convicted him of assault with intent to murder and weapons crimes last month.
Police say Woods shot a man at the Granada apartment complex in Blackman Township during an argument.
The victim survived.
