Man killed in truck vs. motorcycle crash in Charlotte

 A 60 year old motorcyclist died Tuesday night after a collision with a pickup truck in front of the American Legion in Charlotte.

The Charlotte Police Department says Richard Dunlap, of Vermontville, was stopped on West Lawrence Avenue and preparing to turn onto American Legion Dr. around 6:30 p.m when he was struck by an eastbound pickup truck.

Dunlap was taken to Sparrow Hospital and later died from his injuries.

49 year old Mitchell Glenn, of Charlotte, was driving the pickup truck. Police are awaiting toxicology reports to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
