JACKSON, Mich. (WSYM) - Jackson police are investigating an early morning homicide on the city's north side.
Police were called to a shooting shortly after 3 a.m. in the 200 block of Detroit Street. Officers say there was a party in that area and one person was shot in the parking lot where the party was happening.
The victim was transported by private vehicle to Henry Ford Allegiance Emergency room where he was pronounced dead. Police identified the victim as Rickey Dempsey, age 34.
