A man is in the hospital in critical condition after he was hit by a car on Lansing's south side.
The accident happened late Monday night just before 10:30 p.m. on Martin Luther King between Dunlap Street and Rundle Avenue. Lansing police tell us, the man was not using the crosswalk at the time of the crash.
No one in the car was injured. The crash is under investigation but police say alcohol, speed, and drugs are not factors. No arrests have been made.
The accident on Martin Luther King happened just days after another man was hit and killed by a car in the same area. Son Thanh Huynh , age 46, died Friday night after he was hit while walking in the 3000 block of South Martin Luther King. Police say he was not using a crosswalk. Police say the driver who hit him had not been drinking and is cooperating.
