A man is recovering in the hospital after police say he nearly crashed his truck into the Grand River in Lansing.

The Lansing Police Department responded to a report of an accident on East Willow Street right around midnight Tuesday.

Police say the man's truck crashed into a parked vehicle before driving into a barrier at the dead end of East Willow Street, just east of North Washington Avenue.

The truck then went over a barrier and nearly into the Grand River.

The man was taken to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition, police said.

Lansing police believe alcohol and drugs are both believed to be factors in the crash. Police will be seeking charges against the man.
