A 69 year old man has died after crashing a plane in Clinton County on Thursday.
The Clinton County Sheriff's Office says the single engine experimental plane crashed in the 8900 block of S. Bauer Road in RileyTownship around 6:30 p.m. Investigators believe the plane hit power lines before crashing, and say the sun may have been a factor.
The pilot, Michael Mills, was airlifted to Sparrow Hospital and later died.
Investigators say the plane was traveling from the Owosso Airport to a landing strip near the crash site.
The Clinton County Sheriff's Office, FAA, and NTSB are still investigating.
