LANSING, Mich. — A single-car crash left one person dead early Monday morning in Lansing. The driver, identified by Lansing Police as Tommy Lee Cole, 44, died at the scene.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:24 a.m. on West Miller Rd. in Lansing near Pleasant Grove. Police say the car left the roadway, struck a utility pole and rolled onto its side. Preliminary information suggests speed and alcohol were a factor, according to Lansing Police.

Three other passengers, a 47-year-old female, a 29-year-old female, and another 44-year-old man, were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Lansing Police.

The Lansing Fire Department extracted the three victims, who were pinned in (Cole, the front passenger, and rear driver's side passenger).

Anyone with additional information is asked to call Lansing Police Department Sergeant Don Porter at 517-483-4667
