A Lansing Township man is behind bars, accused of holding a woman captive and beating her in his home. The 29 year-old victim from East Lansing told police Gregory Sanders punched and choked her.
Investigators say Sanders locked her in his home for a half hour and left. When he came back, the woman was able to get away. She was picked up and taken to the hospital where she reported the assault.
Police say they searched Sander's home and found evidence of the struggle, imprisonment and illegal weapons.
Sanders is charged with six felonies including unlawful imprisonment, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and weapons charges. He's being held without bond at the Ingham County Jail.
