JACKSON, Mich. — A Jackson man will stand trial in the shooting death of another man.

Jackson District Judge Joseph Filip decided there was probable cause on Tuesday, Aug. 27 to bound Eiron Bankhead to trial.

Bankhead, 25, is charged with open murder and felony firearm in the death of Kordell Brzozowski.

Jackson police say Bankhead and Brzozowski, 19, of Jackson, got into a fight inside an AutoZone on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on May 18.

Bankhead shot then Brzozowski several times in the parking lot, police said.

Brzozowski died shortly after arriving at Henry Ford Allegiance Health.

Bankhead faces up to life in prison if convicted.

A trial date has been scheduled.
