Police don't think people need to be worried about using the Lansing River Trail, after a man was attacked with a knife Monday night.

Lansing Township Chief Kay Hoffman says police have not gotten any reports of other attacks in the area.

A homeless man says someone came out of the woods swinging a swiss army knife at him near where Clippert Street dead-ends into the River Trail near Frandor.

Police could not find the attacker.

The victim was cut on the neck but not seriously injured.
