Man arrested after being vulgar with 911, being intoxicated with firearm

A 60-year-old man called 9-1-1 multiple times using vulgar language and demanding to speak to a state trooper, the MSP reports.

Troopers were dispatched to the residence in Summit Township for a welfare check on the Jackson man.

When police arrived the man opened the front door and appeared to be intoxicated and had a pistol on his hip, according to the MSP.

The suspect was arrested for possession of a firearm while intoxicated, and during the arrest the suspect resisted by refusing to put his hands behind his back and struggled when handcuffed.

The man was lodged in the Jackson County Jail for resisting and obstructing, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and misuse of 9-1-1.
