Man arraigned on child pornography charges in Hillsdale County

A man from Hillsdale County is facing child pornography charges following a search of his home by the State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Chadwick Forant of Jonesville was arrested last Thursday. State Police got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators who searched Forant's home say they found child porn on at least one device. Forant was arraigned on the following charges:

- Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material (3 counts)
- Using a Computer to Commit a Crime (3 counts)
- Accosting a Child for Immoral Purposes (1 count)

Forant could get 7 years in prison if convicted of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime. The other charges carry sentences of up to 4 years. News 10 and wilx.com will keep you updated on his criminal case.
