A western Michigan man will stand trial in the stabbing death of a 21-year-old pregnant woman during an apparent burglary.
MLive.comreports that 19-year-old Christopher Howard was bound over Wednesday to Muskegon County Circuit Court on open murder and assault on a pregnant individual causing miscarriage or stillbirth charges.
Muskegon Township police Sgt. Timothy Thielbar testified at Howard's preliminary examination that investigators were told the original intent was to steal televisions.
Dominique O'Neal's body was found June 24, 2015, in her Muskegon Township apartment. Two young children were at the home and police have said they were believed to have been present when O'Neal was killed.
The newspaper reports that fingerprints found in O'Neal's apartment matched prints in a separate case.
