The first ever Makers Faire drew a large crowd at Meridian Mall this weekend. This isn't your typical science fair.
It's the Maker Faire.,and it's one place where people of all ages who love science, technology, engineering and math can see what inventors and creators are working on.
They've nicknamed this event the greatest show and tell on earth, and it's right here in Mid-Michigan for the first time.
"There's 180 Maker Faires that happen all over the world throughout the year. This is the first time Lansing has ever had one," Chris Allen said.
Chris Allen is the Executive Manager for Lansing's Maker Faire.
The purpose is to inform and connect the Lansing community through innovation and making.
It's a win-win for inventors and people who like trying new things.
Allen also said it shows what the Greater Lansing area has to offer.
