With so many people expected to travel around the state for Labor Day, efforts are underway to remind drivers of a very important bridge closure.
M-DOT is putting the word out on its electric signs in *Mid-Michigan*--- telling drivers the Mackinac Bridge will be closed for six hours on Labor Day.
The decision was announced weeks ago to ensure the safety of those participating in the annual bridge walk.
The estimated four-thousand drivers waiting on each side to cross will have access to portable toilets, water and snacks.
