SPRING ARBOR, Mich. — The Michigan Department of Transportation is starting work on M-60 in Spring Arbor Monday.
MDOT has invested $9.9 million to reconstruct M-60 between Chapel Road and Dearing Road.
The work includes expanding M-60 to a three-lane road, adding a new section of a water main, and installing storm sewers on the south side of M-60 from Dearing Road and proceeding west.
The work also incudes putting in a new traffic signal at Dearing Road and a dedicated left-turn lane.
M-60 traffic will be shifted slightly to the north with two-way traffic maintained under flag control during daytime hours. Access to homes and buesinesses will be maintained.
The work is expected to wrap up by Sunday, Nov. 10.
