LANSING, Mich. — In the midst of Cinco de Mayo festivities, the oldest living person in Lansing's Hispanic community was honored Sunday.

Eva Salinas turned 100 years old this year.

Her birthday was April 23, but in honor of the Lansing Lugnuts name change to the Lansing Locos for Sunday's game, her family celebrated her milestone Sunday at the stadium.

"I'm very proud that they're all here at my party," Salinas said. "For my brother, Alonzo, and all my friends that have been helping to do this. And I'm here, that's why I'm so happy."

The Lugnuts presented Salinas with a Locos jersey.
