LANSING, Mich. — Gunfire in Lansing left a teenager dead, another in the hospital and a third victim unaccounted for.
The shooting happened Monday night on 500 block of North Pine Street.
Fox 47's Cryss Walker spoke with LPD and witnesses on scene.
Police say the incident started at Ferris Park but when authorities arrived the suspects fled.
Sgt. Lee McCallister told Walker when officers arrived they found two teens with gunshot wounds.
One teen died on scene and another was taken to the hospital.
The condition of that victim is unknown.
Officers say a second shooting broke out shortly after on the 1500 block of Illinois Avenue.
Police believe the shootings might be related.
"We're still trying to develop a connection" Sgt. McCallister said.
"We believe that there's a good possibility that they are connected. I can't say for sure at this point in time but we are looking into both of those as being related."
Sgt. McCallister told Fox 47 a third person suffered a gunshot wound but the status of the victim is unknown.
Police are not releasing any further information on the shootings.
The cases are open and under investigation.
