LANSING, Mich. — Consumers Energy kicked off its "Love Michigan" Clean Energy Tour Wednesday, Aug. 21, at noon in Jackson, MI.

Consumers Energy President and CEO Patti Poppe wants to partner with Michigan community members to help protect the planet for future generations.

Consumers Energy hosted a luncheon for community and business leaders, along with the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.

According to Consumers Energy, customers can expect for 56 percent renewable energy by 2040 and being completely coal free.
