The Lost Railway Museum (LRM) Board of Directors concluded their search for an Executive Director, hiring Britt Keene.

Keene is a native of Southwest Michigan and has experience working and volunteering with nonprofits in program planning and volunteer management, which will be a strong asset in her new role. Keene is owner of Roaming Goat, a small community coffee shop. Her entrepreneurial spirit is critical in expanding the reach and impact of LRM.

Keene currently serves as Board Chair of the Grass Lake Downtown Development Authority (DDA). At the DDA, she has gained valuable experience in planning and coordination, and has assisted the Village of Grass Lake in becoming an engaged Redevelopment Ready Community (RRC) in the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) program. Keene has also volunteered with the Grass Lake Traffic Jamin, Grass Lake Winterfest, and assisted in raising over $100k for the Grass Lake Events Park and Pavillion.

The LRM Board is confident Ms. Keene is a perfect fit to lead LRM’s mission and business plan. LRM’s newest Board Member, Greg Million, said, ”We are positive that Britt is going to be exactly what the Lost Railway Museum needs to take the museum to the next level. She’s extremely qualified and very connected within our Grass Lake community. We look forward to LRM integrating within the Village on Township of Grass Lake, as Britt leads us forward.”

Britt Keene has begun her duties as LRM’s Executive Director in early July 2018. She can be reached at britt@lostrailwaymuseum.org.

Founded in 2016 the Lost Railway Museum is located within a renovated abandoned building in Grass Lake, acts as a tourist destination and educational attraction. LRM is located at 142 W. Michigan Ave in Downtown Grass Lake.
