The longest canopy walk in the country is set to open to the public the first weekend of October in Midland.
The walkway at Whiting Forest of Dow Gardens will be 14-hundred feet long overlooking 54 acres of woodlands, ponds and more. Guest of all ages and abilities are able to access the canopy walk.
The canopy walk features a glass floor 40 feet high, views of a forest pond from 30 feet and a large cargo net in a grove of spruce trees at 35 feet.
Other features include a playground, an apple orchard, a cafe and more.
Admission: annual pass $10 per person, adults $5
Gates open at 9am Sunday October 7th. Admission: annual pass $10 per person, adults $5, $1 for those ages 6-17, and kids 5 and under get in for free. College students can also receive admission for $1 with a valid student I.D.
