An Eaton Rapids woman is accused of stealing money from a charity.

Janette Lauzon is charged with one felony count of embezzlement between one and twenty thousand dollars.

She is a former office administrator and book-keeper at "Helping Hands Respite Care" in East Lansing.

The non-profit helps families with loved ones who have special needs.

The money was discovered missing during a review of payroll records.

Lauzon faces up to ten years in prison if convicted.
