A national project put a new roof over the head of a local man on Thursday.
Palmer Construction, a local Owens Corning Platinum contractor, teamed up with Habitat for Humanity of the Capital Region to make it happen.
The group installed a new roof for Augie Sollid, a 93-year-old World War II veteran, as part of Owens Corning's National Roof Deployment Project.
Sollid is a Grand Ledge resident and was grateful for the help.
FOX 47's Megan Hiler went onsite to check out the progress - you can see her story on FOX 47 at 10 PM.
