Stores across the country are stocking up for Small Business Saturday.
The day was created by American Express in 2010 in an efforts to celebrate Mom and Pop Shops which are vital to the economy, especially Michigan's.
According to American Express, Michigan is home to more than 870,000 small businesses making up more than 99% of all businesses.
Nearly half of all Michigan employees worked for a small business last year.
And for every dollar spent at a Mom and Pop Shop, 67 cents stays in the local economy.
