A local shelter that helps domestic violence victims, received a gift Wednesday from Consumers Energy, the gift of hot water.
Consumers Energy donated and installed a new hot water heater for the AWARE shelter in Jackson.
The heater will also save AWARE money on future energy bills since it will perform more efficiently than what they originally had.
Consumers delivered the hot water heater on Wednesday around 10 a.m.
