Many area offices and services will be delayed or closed due to the holiday. FOX 47 News has the complete list here.
What you need to know regarding the Thanksgiving holiday and closed services in the area:
LANSING:
- Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, CART collections in Lansing that would have been on Thursday, November 23, will be delayed until Friday, November 24. In addition, the CART office will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
EAST LANSING:
City of East Lansing offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24 in observance of Thanksgiving.
City offices closed Nov. 23-24 will include East Lansing City Hall, the East Lansing Department of Public Works, the East Lansing 54B District Court, the East Lansing Public Library, the East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC) and East Lansing Prime Time.
In addition to being closed Nov. 23-24, ELHCC and ELPL will have the following adjusted hours for the holiday:
ELHCC will be open on Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 25 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 26 from noon-5 p.m.
ELPL will close early on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m. The library will re-open to patrOns at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25.
Thursday’s and Friday’s refuse and recycling will be collected Friday, Nov. 24.
And across the state:
All Secretary of State offices and the Office of the Great Seal will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
All offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, Friday, Nov. 24, and SUPER!Centers will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 25.
