LANSING, Mich. — A Grammy-Award winning jazz musician who grew up in Lansing has died.
The body of the 37-year-old Lawrence "Lo" Leathers' was found in the hallways of an apartment building in a Bronx, New York neighborhood.
The New York Police department said they had a suspect in connection with the death.
Leathers' was a graduate of Sexton High School.
He attended classes at MSU's School of Music before moving to New York.
