JACKSON, Mich. — One Local business and volunteers were making quilts for a good cause.
This weekend, Country Stitches made quilts from donated materials.
After they are made, the quilts are donated to the John George Home.
The John George Home in Jackson provides low income housing to elderly gentlemen.
"I think the love for sewing and the love for just the whole project of doing something for somebody in need, and we learn something no matter how long we've been sewing. We learn something every time we're here. Just one stitch at time we're enjoying what we're doing." Said Kathy Kerr with Country of Stitches
This is the 31st year in a row, they have held this event.
