The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is presenting the 2018 Rising Star Award to a local brewery.
Brew Export, which according to the award requirements, "provides expert navigation of compliance, logistics, and international marketing for the export of American craft beers."
Brew Export was started in 2015.
The company helped many Michigan craft beer makers enter foreign markets in China, Spain, Belgium, Malaysia, Canada, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Russia.
The Rising Star Award was created to recognize a Michigan company that is new to exporting or is increasing its exports into one or more countries.
You can attend this event, and a tour of the brewery on Thursday, July 26 at Dark Horse Brewing on 511 S. Kalamazoo Avenue in Marshall.
The ceremony is from 2:00 - 2:45 PM.
