LANSING, Mich. — The state Supreme Court has removed Livingston County Judge Theresa Brennan from the bench.
Brennan was investigated for several allegations of misconduct including failing to disclose her romantic relationship with a detective in a murder case she presided over.
Also, lying under oath during her divorce case and to the Judicial Tenure Commission.
The Supreme Court ordered her off the bench immediately.
She is also banned from being a judge for 6 years.

Earlier this week, Brennan was ordered to stand trial on charges that she destroyed evidence and lied about it under oath.
Brennan faces up to 15 years in prison if she's convicted.
