Live Thursday: Gov. Gretchen Whitmer holding town hall on coronavirus in Michigan

FOX 47 News invites you to join us for an important event this Thursday, "The Governor's Town Hall."

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun will join 7 Action News' Carolyn Clifford, Fox 2's Huel Perkins and WDIV's Devin Scillian.

For the first time, metro Detroit television stations are coming together to bring you this commercial-free event to provide viewers the opportunity to ask questions of Gov. Whitmer in regard to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The town hall will be broadcast Thursday, April 2 from 7 to 8 p.m. The special will be offered to all broadcast television stations in Michigan in partnership with the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and the Michigan Association of Public Broadcasters.

It will air live on the FOX 47 News website as well as on our apps through ROKU, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV

As of Tuesday, there are 337 deaths and 9,334 cases of COVID-19 in the state< /span> , just three weeks after the outbreak began.
