Lime, the company that has about 250 scooters in Lansing, says there's no danger they'll catch fire.
This comes as the Washington Post asks questions about a recall last summer.
Lime told the Post it pulled about 2,000 scooters off the streets this summer for a fire risk.
They were all in the Los Angeles, San Diego and Lake Tahoe markets.
Lime says the scooters had a manufacturing defect in the battery.
