After years of serving as an eyesore in the neighborhood, the Life O' Riley mobile park will be demolished.
Judge Canady made the decision Wednesday afternoon in Ingham County Circuit Court.
The only exception to the ruling is a single trailer, the resident has until March 1st to move the trailer.
Lansing Mayor Virg Berneo spoke to News 10 before the decision was handed down by the judge. Bernero says it'll cost the city anywhere between $300,000 to $400,000 for the demolition project.
"Property rights here in Michigan are very strong," said Bernero. "We as the city cannot come in and do what we think needs to be done, we have to do it under court order and we have to have the right protocols in place."
Neighbors are also reacting to the news.
"I got less to worry about," said Brad Willette. "Less eyesore, it just makes you happy that somebody's gonna finally do something about it."
Depending on many factors, including weather, demolition could begin in week and could be finished up as soon as the end of March.
The property owner may face foreclosure if $81,400 in taxes isn't paid to the county and $52,000 to the city. Other costs must be paid to avoid foreclosure including reimbursing the city for demolition costs.
If the property were to foreclose,
