Lansing mayor Virg Bernero and city leaders will declare Lansing a "Welcoming City" Monday.
Bernero will join city and refugee community leaders at City Hall Monday for the announcement, welcoming refugees and immigrants from around the world.
City Council is set to pass a resolution Monday night formally declaring Lansing a "Welcoming City." Lansing will join ten other Michigan communities in the "Welcoming Michigan" coalition.
