Lansing Community College won the court case Thursday against Gibson's Bookstore. The book store filed for a temporary restraining order after LCC decided to implement its new book voucher policy.
The voucher gives students on financial aid money to buy books, but only from a specific company the college has a contract with. If students want to use that money somewhere else, they would have to wait until February, almost a month after classes have started.
Thursday's win for LCC means it can enforce the policy next semester.
